Everyone Is Welcome. Not Everyone Leaves Unchanged.

The Hellshine Lounge is a corner bar for people who have run out of sensible places to go. Its patrons arrive carrying grief, regret, ambition, loneliness, bad intentions, and questions they should probably leave unanswered. Some come for a drink. Some come looking for help. Some have no idea why they are there. The Lounge does.

About the Book

See You Next Tuesday at the Hellshine Lounge is a collection of interconnected dark tales set in and around a neighborhood bar where the ordinary and impossible meet over cheap drinks and low lighting.

Each story follows people facing strange encounters, dangerous bargains, buried secrets, and consequences that have been waiting longer than they realize.

The horror is supernatural. The humor is dry. The people remain painfully human.

Welcome to the Hellshine Lounge

The Hellshine Lounge does not advertise. It does not need to.

People find it when the time is right. Or wrong.

Horror with a Human Heart

The stories are frightening, but fear is only part of what brings people through the door. The collection also explores grief, loyalty, shame, hope, memory, desire, and the fragile ways people try to repair their lives.

Some visitors deserve what happens to them. Others deserve better.

The Lounge is not always concerned with the difference.

From the Editor

The manuscript arrived without a table of contents.

The pages were numbered. The stories were not.

K.D. insisted that the order was obvious.

It was not.
