Is That Really Him?
A dark coat. A fedora. A figure leaving before anyone thinks to ask the obvious question.
Reports of K.D. St.Cross tend to arrive after the fact, usually accompanied by poor lighting, unreliable timestamps, or photographs taken from an inconvenient distance.
None has been conclusively verified. Several remain difficult to dismiss.

Sighting 01: Roadside Motel
Location: Withheld Time: 2:14 A.M. Status: Unconfirmed
A guest reported seeing a man in a fedora cross the motel parking lot during heavy rain.
The figure did not appear to be carrying luggage. No vehicle was seen arriving or leaving.
The night clerk remembered the man standing beneath the second-floor walkway before disappearing behind the west stairwell.
The security camera failed shortly before the sighting and resumed eleven minutes later.
Nothing unusual appeared in the recovered footage.
The Editor notes that this is not the same as nothing unusual occurring.

Sighting 02: Railway Platform
A photograph submitted to the Editor appears to show a man matching K.D.’s general description near the end of an empty railway platform shortly before sunrise.
The departure board visible in the photograph lists a train that did not stop at that station.
FILE #03 · NEAR THE HELLSHINE LOUNGE · DISPUTED
Sighting 03: Near the Hellshine Lounge
A witness reported seeing a man in a dark coat standing across the street from the Hellshine Lounge on a Tuesday evening.
The bartender later stated that K.D. had not visited the Lounge that evening. The bartender also stated that the Editor should stop asking.

- Camera failures
- Handwritten notes
- Manuscripts arriving soon afterward
- Witnesses who remember the hat more clearly than the face
